Review: Clio Waterproof Pen Liner in Kill Brown

I’m really excited to bring this review to you guys today! Clio’s liquid eyeliners are known to be quite popular and work very well. There are two versions of waterproof liners, a pen and a brush version. There are also two shades available, Kill Black and Kill Brown. Both versions look exactly the same in the packaging so please be careful that you purchase the correct one you want! Today I will be reviewing the pen version and as I have said before, I was searching for a brown liquid eyeliner for everyday use so I picked up the shade Kill Brown! =)

The packaging is really nice, it doesn’t feel cheap in the slightest. It’s very sturdy! It also has a mechanism where if you shake it, the product inside will mix together so this will help out a lot when it starts drying out a little. It also has a firm closure so you know that it’s shut tight after you use it and it won’t be left open to dry out!

The eyeliner is very easy to apply, even for someone like me who struggles a great deal (especially trying to make both eyes even -_-)! I find it easier to do the wing first, angling it towards the outer corners of my eyebrows and then gradually building up the thickness on my upper lash line. The pigmentation is great, it is a very dark brown that is a touch softer than black. I love it because it still very beautifully defines the eyes but is less harsh at the same time.

I did a fairly thin winged eyeliner and I’m wearing no mascara so you can see the true effect of the eyeliner!

The lasting power on this eye liner is incredible. It really does live up to its claims of being waterproof and lasting the ENTIRE day. Even after I did a light swatch on my hands it still stayed on after I washed them several times! Of course if you scrub your hands hard under water it will rub off but in an ordinary situation, it does not crack or flake off when it is in contact with water! If you’re someone that does not feel comfortable going into the swimming pool or the ocean without any makeup on, rest assured that this eyeliner is one that will stay put! =) Otherwise on an everyday basis, you can also be comfortable knowing that this eyeliner will last all day with no smudging or flaking! It looks exactly the way it did from the time you applied it until the time you decide to take it off at the end of the night!
