First Impression: Argan Dew Miraculous Argan Oil & Replenishing Hair Mask

ArganDew

Argan oil has always intrigued me because it is always talked about as being one of the best oils to use. I have only tried macadamia oil infused hair products and I am still using them now, so I am very curious about giving argan oil a try. Because I was only provided samples for this review, I won’t be able to say how well these products work in the long run but I will give my initial honest impression on both of the products. =) From now on when I do posts on products that are only one use, I will be doing first impression posts instead of full reviews! (Note: the images I used above are from the official website)

The writing on the packaging claims that argan oil has a powerful antioxidant effect, which helps to neutralise free radicals and prevent skin and hair damage. It is also supposed to provide deep moisture that is easily absorbed by the skin and hair to protect from dehydration to create a smooth, beautiful glow.

I’ve never tried any hair oils at all before so I was definitely very curious to try this out and I had high expectations too because I always hear about how great it is! I haven’t had a hair cut in almost two years so you can imagine how dry the ends of my hair must be! I don’t ever expect a product to get rid of them because that’s not really possible but my judgment will be on how much it can tame the frizziness and by how well it can minimise how dry and brittle it looks.

The oil is translucent in colour and is definitely not greasy at all after it has time to absorb, which was something I was concerned about before trying it out. It does take a little bit of time to distribute throughout the hair especially if you don’t rub it between your fingers beforehand so that is a tip I would like to share. However, after the oil absorbed, my hair was definitely noticeably more silkier and luscious looking. My hair also smelt heavenly afterwards, which is a major plus! The oil did a great job at minimising my frizzy ends and made them a lot more manageable! I’m really impressed by this oil! =)

The scent is quite earthy and natural such that it doesn’t smell like chemicals. It doesn’t smell the same as the oil, which I actually prefer the scent of but it isn’t bad at all. It definitely lingers in your hair so if it is a scent that you dislike from the get go then it would unfortunately bother you! The texture is comparable to a thick conditioner. When you apply it, it does not run down but it gets absorbed in the hair and will remain there until you wash it out after 5 minutes.

Immediately after coming out of the shower, my hair didn’t feel any different but after letting my hair air dry, it was noticeably silkier! My hair felt very soft when I brushed my fingers through it. However, my dry ends were by no means completely moisturised, but they did feel less brittle and more manageable than usual. In my opinion, the hair mask is very comparable to the Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque that I’ve been using for a really long time. They both leave my hair feeling really soft the next day and I love it! My hair can get really frizzy but this mask helps manage it really well. If your hair is dry and needs a bit of a pick-me-up, then this mask is worth a try!

I use argan oil on my hair after I wash it. My hairdresser says my hair is healthier, no split ends, smooth, shiny. The only thing I changed was adding the oil to my haircare routine.
I’ve got some morrocanoil to try out so I wonder whether there will be a difference. Nice review. 😊

Wow, that’s awesome! 😀 I need to use it more often overtime to see how my hair texture will change because my ends are just so frizzy and dry at the moment LOL. I’d love to know the difference between all the oils! Thank you so much! ❤ x

As always, you hit the nail right on the head with this one, Girlfriend! I love using argan oils (by Avon, of course) to keep the ends of my hair from getting too dry or stiff. Tnx!

I love the Macademia Oil Deep Repair Masque so I may just stick to that especially if the scent on this one isn’t as great. 🙂 I may look into the hair oil since it doesn’t have a greasy feel though. I am using Keratin Complex Shine Spray/Serum and it gives great shine but a little goes a loong way; otherwise, I look like I haven’t washed my hair in a few days, lol.

Yes! 😀 I have been using the macadamia one for the longest time but it is quite expensive! 😦 But yeah, the oil really isn’t greasy at all! It is at first but once you let it sit in for a minute or so it’s just really silky! ❤ I need to give keratin a try, I hear it's amazing too! Hahaha I get worried of putting too much into my hair as well, don't want it to look greasy! :O

I sometimes find them a bit cheaper at TJ Maxx, the Macadamia Nut Masque. Yes, if you try the Kertatin Complex, trust me a little goes a long way, which is good and bad at the same time. 🙂

So sad that there’s no TJ Maxx here in Australia! 😦 I always end up buying it online but it’s still definitely a lot more expensive than other brands! 😦 I love products like that! 😀 So much more worth it if it lasts a long time!

😦 I would say maybe checking out sites like Amazon but then sometimes you can’t know whether you are getting the real deal, you know. I’ll tell you the Macadamia products do fly fast off the shelves though so if I have to grab it then or it’ll be gone my the next day. At least it’s worth it right?
