Review: L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Extraordinaire in Rose Finale

This is my first review on the products I hauled from Priceline’s 40% off all cosmetics sale. As I said in that post, I already own one of these glosses in the shade Rose Melody but I wanted to pick up a slightly darker pink shade that I knew I would get a lot of wear out of considering that I rarely wear lighter lip shades!

The packaging of these glosses look really extravagant. It is gold with a panel that shows exactly what the colour of the lip product inside! This makes it really easy if you decide to purchase multiple shades and want to distinguish one from another. They also look really pretty stored altogether! I don’t find one single flaw in the packaging at all.

Left: Bare lips; Right: After one light layer

The gloss feels very moisturising on the lips and smooths out all the lines. It makes my lips look incredibly juicy and more full. The applicator makes it very easy to apply the gloss and it also has a beautiful scent to it!

After eating, you can definitely see that some of the pigmentation wears off but I don’t mind this because it’s not uneven and there is still great colour on the lips! The glossiness wears down a bit too but if you rub your lips together, they don’t feel dry and it still feels very moisturising. I love the colour when I first apply it and also when it begins to wear off throughout the day so I don’t feel the need for reapplication at all.

Overall, I absolutely love this lip gloss! I love everything from the packaging to the smell and to the actual performance of the product. L’Oreal did a great job with this one! =) I highly recommend you all to check the shades out, they have a variety of colours to choose from. If you’re a fan of non-sticky lip glosses then you will love this!

♡ Very moisturising but not sticky

♡ Smooths out lines

♡ Great pigmentation

♡ Gives the appearance of juicy and full lips

♡ Beautiful packaging

♡ Wears off after eating and drinking (but this is expected)!

The Beauty Scenario Tag

1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?
I already don’t own that many foundations so this question isn’t too difficult for me! For high end I would have my Estee Lauder Double Wear because it is great for night outs and days where I want completely full matte coverage and for drugstore, I would go for my Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream as an everyday base! =)

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?
Honestly, I would probably ignore it completely even though I feel like I would want to approach the subject. Maybe if the interview had a really friendly and casual vibe I would approach the subject but if it was serious, I would probably not mention it at all and try not to look at her teeth LOL.

3. You’re not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?
I would probably go for the I Want Shining Crystal Lip Tint from Memebox. It’s a colour adjusting gloss that leaves a stain that lasts literally all day! On me, it turns to a bright pink shade. =)

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?
I would tell my hairdresser to not cut my hair so short! My hair was so bad when I was a teenager because I had really short hair (my dad wouldn’t let me grow my hair long) and one side would always awkwardly curl up. I also didn’t wear makeup back then unless I was going out on the weekend but it was never anything I completely regret now because I don’t have photo proof hehe. If anything, I would probably not apply too much foundation!

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you: a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.
I would probably smile and say thank you but I wouldn’t call my mum hysterically LOL. I would be really sad on the way out though! I’m sure I would work with it somehow and patiently wait for it to grow out again!

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which ‘do it all’ palette do you pack in your makeup bag?
I would probably go with my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette, just because it has all the classic natural brown shades that I need. =) It’s something I would be happy to use everyday for the 4 day break!

7. Your house has been robbed, don’t worry everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What’s the product you really hope is safe?
I would hope none of it has been stolen! I would hope my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette is safe, just because it is expensive to repurchase here! =P

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven’t noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs
I’m honestly not the type to approach the subject so I would end up pretending I didn’t notice but I would definitely ask why it is in awful condition! The third choice is just so mean LOL, I would never ever do something like that.

Overview: NARS Virtual Domination Palette

This was the second beauty product purchase I made in Canada (the first being my Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette) and I was really keen on picking it up because I hadn’t tried NARS before so I wanted to pick up something where I would be able to try multiple products at the same time! The palette contains one highlighter, three blushes and one bronzer. This makes it really great for travel because there’s no need to carry extra blushes with you, there is enough variety in the palette by itself. =)

M i s s  L i b e r t y  H i g h l i g h t e r

I am a huge fan of highlighters but unfortunately, this one doesn’t completely cut it for me! It is straight up glitter on the skin and although I personally don’t mind glitter, it’s something I do not reach for everyday. I do find use for it in my eye makeup though because it does add beautiful sparkle! However, on the cheeks, I know that this highlighter is one that a lot of people will not like at all.

D e e p  T h r o a t  B l u s h

This is one of the more popular selling blushes by NARS, alongside Orgasm. It is a beautiful peachy coral shade that has a satin finish to it. I personally think that it is a universally flattering shade that looks stunning on everyone of all skin tones. It has fantastic pigmentation and it just gives a really healthy flush to the face! I love it. =)

S e x  F a n t a s y  B l u s h

Sex Fantasy is a cool-toned baby pink blush that has some slight lavender hues to it. I normally do not go for cooler toned pinks because I feel that they don’t suit me but I surprisingly really like this blush! It is very easy to wear and it does show up on the skin despite how pale it looks. The swatch looks a bit powdery but on the cheeks, it doesn’t come off like that at all!

F i n a l  C u t  B l u s h

Final Cut is another coral shade but it definitely leans more on the orange-coral side in comparison to Deep Throat, which is pinker. It has a matte finish and I think that it is gorgeous for the warmer months. It is also the most pigmented out of all the blushes in this palette so it’s important to be careful when you apply it to make sure you don’t put on too much!

L a g u n a  B r o n z e r

The cult favourite bronzer of many people! Laguna is a medium brown with a beautiful sheen to it. The amazing thing about this palette is that there is a lot more product than there is in a standard bronzer powder so if you purchased the palette in its retail price, you would have definitely gotten your money’s worth! There is 10g of product in comparison to 8g! I find Laguna really easy to work with and it doesn’t look muddy at all on the skin.

Overall, I know that this palette is limited edition so if you were looking into picking it up, purchase it now because I think it is fantastic value considering how many different products you are getting in one palette. I now know why NARS is really popular because the quality of their cheek products are incredible! The only let down is the highlighter but other than that, I am extremely pleased with this palette! It is convenient because it contains a variety of different shades so you can mix and match according to what you are wearing on the rest of your face!

My Fitness Routine ♡

If you read my health and fitness journey, you’d know that I run and go to the gym a few times a week! I rotate between two different gym routines three times throughout the week (I will be referring to as A and B). When I first started getting into fitness, I was working out every single day but I’ve learnt that it’s important to let your body rest and repair itself after doing strenuous work. From personal experience, I tend to get fatigued and I don’t perform as well as I do when I take days off throughout the week!

3×5 Barbell front squats
3×5 Bulgarian dumbbell split squats
3×5 Barbell deadlifts
3×5 Assisted pull-ups
Abs circuit
1×5 Barbell deadlifts
3×5 Barbell bench bench
3×5 Push press or incline shoulder press
3×5 Assisted dips
Abs circuit

➳ For those of you who are unfamiliar, the format AxB means A are sets and B are repetitions (reps)!

I was doing regular barbell squats but decided to switch to front squats to build up by quadriceps but I would definitely recommend doing regular ones to start off with! Front squats are really tiring and use up a lot of energy. I also deadlift on both days because I’m weak at doing barbell rows so with workout A, I focus more on getting my form right rather than building up numbers!

I am currently in the works of switching up my abs circuit but before I was doing variations of weighted crunches, dumbbell side bends and leg raises then I would always finish off with a wall plank. I am a huge fan of planks! =)

Weekly breakdown:

Monday: Running (7km around the city at a 5:30min/km pace)
Tuesday: Workout A
Wednesday: Rest
Thursday: Workout B
Friday: Rest
Saturday/Sunday: Rest or Workout A

I usually take two rest days on Friday and Saturday, and do my gym workout on Sunday but sometimes if I or my gym buddy (aka my older brother) has plans then we will go on Saturday instead!

My current personal records:

I hope you all enjoyed this post and got a better idea of what my fitness regime is like! =) Let me know what you like to do throughout the week! I always find it interesting to see what other people do hehe.

25 Beauty Questions Tag!

1. Do you apply your foundation with a brush, sponge, or fingers?
With my current BB cream, I just use my fingers! But if I’m going to wear foundation for a special occasion then I like to use a dense brush such as the Real Techniques Buffing Brush.

2. Do you apply your eyeshadow from light to dark or dark to light?
I always apply light to dark unless I’m doing an intense smokey eye where the darker colours are on the lid. I like to work from the lids out!

3. Do you prime your eyes?
I used to everyday but the eyeshadows I’ve been using don’t really crease on me so I skip out on it! I will for special occasions though, just because I want my makeup to stand out and be full proof the entire time. =)

4. Concealer first, or after foundation?
Definitely only after foundation. Concealer should be used to cover up what foundation hasn’t already!

5. Go for manicures, or manicure yourself?
I paint my own nails! I don’t think I do a bad job and it saves more money.

6. Exfoliate lips, face or both?
I used to exfoliate by face all the time when I was using my St Ives scrubs but after I finished them, I don’t currently do either!

7. On average, how long does it take you to do your makeup?
Depends on the situation. =P If I’m just getting ready for uni or a casual day then it’ll take 5 minutes but if I want to look extra nice for a nice outing or a night out then I can take up to 30 minutes or more!

8. Do you wear makeup everyday and everywhere?
Probably 99% of the time I will be wearing some sort of makeup.

9. What release are you most excited about? (Makeup)
I want to try the new Urban Decay Revolution Lipglosses!

10. What’s your weakness? Shoes, purses, clothes, jewellery, eyeshadow, lipstick or other?
Everything makeup really! But definitely mostly eyeshadows and lipsticks.

11. Do you whiten your teeth?
No, I don’t! I really want to though. My teeth aren’t as white as I’d like them to be and since I’m a green tea addict, my teeth are slightly on the yellow side. =(

12. Wax eyebrows, or pluck?
I’ve never gotten them waxed before, I just pluck them! I really want to go to a proper brow place to get them done though.

13. What do you use to contour?
I just use an angled blush brush by Sigma but I rarely contour. I really want to pick up the NARS brush!

14. False lashes, or natural?
Definitely natural for me, I have a hard time with false lashes even though they are so fun!

15. Favourite makeup brand?
This is way too hard of a question. There are so many brands with so many amazing products, I couldn’t possibly pick one!

16. Liquid eye-liner, pencil or gel?
I go through phases all the time! Right now it’d have to be liquid though. =D

17. Lipstick, lipgloss or chapstick?
Definitely lipstick! =)

18. Pigments, pressed or cream eyeshadow?
It’s a toss up between pressed and cream. I think I will go for cream because I’ve been enjoying them most lately for everyday!

19. If you had to wear only one thing, excluding foundation; what would it be?
A lip tint! I’m fine with just curling my lashes otherwise I would pick mascara. =P

20. Favourite colour?
Pink, always!

21. Favourite colour combination?
I love bronze eyes with pink lips! =)

22. Natural or dramatic? (Eye Makeup)
I love a dramatic look because I find them fun to do but I would say natural because it’s what I gravitate towards a majority of the time.

23. Do you care more for quality or name brand?
Definitely quality! I wouldn’t want to spend a lot of money on a name brand when the product itself isn’t great!

24. Do you enjoy using face masks? If so, which ones?
YES! I love face masks. =D I particularly love all Asian sheet masks and I enjoy the Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Pore Mask.

25. What is your current addiction? (Examples: lipsticks, eyeshadows, earrings etc.)
I’m always obsessed with buying and trying out new lip products!

Another beauty tag today! Hehe these are seriously just too much fun to do. I hope you enjoyed my answers to these and I’d love to read yours so feel free to steal the tag and post it on your blog!

March Beauty Favourites ♡

I can’t believe a quarter of the year has passed already. Where has the time gone? =( But anyway, I’m back with another monthly favourites post! I have some amazing products to show you guys this month and I’m excited to post about them all! I don’t have that many to share because I have been mainly using the products I’ve shown in the past two months but I still wanted to post this because I want to be consistent with my monthly favourites! ♡

⟣ N Y X  B u t t e r  G l o s s

I discovered NYX last month and I have been so pleased with absolutely everything I picked up! But the Butter Glosses have definitely been a product I have reached towards quite frequently on a daily basis. My favourite shade that I picked up this month was ‘Sugar Cookie’, which is a beautiful purple toned gloss. ‘Angel Food Cake’ is also one that I have fallen in love with. I feel that deeper nudes are more flattering on me and it is perfect when I’m going for that look!

N A R S  V i r t u a l  D o m i n a t i o n  P a l e t t e

I promised I would be doing an overview on this palette and it will be up soon! I really like this palette because it contains a variety of blushes and the ever so popular Laguna bronzer! The only complaint I have is the highlighter because it is literally just glitter particles. However, I think it is pretty to top off any eyeshadow look because it adds that extra beautiful shimmer. =)

⟣ O P I  N a i l  P o l i s h  ( P r i v a c y  P l e a s e )

This is my go to nail polish if I want to slap something on quickly to make my hands look more neat and presentable. It does not take long to dry at all and it’s the perfect shade to add a little something onto your nails without being too much at all! (Please excuse the nail growth =P).

P h y s i c i a n ‘ s  F o r m u l a  P u r p l e  E y e l i n e r

This is probably the only coloured eyeliner I use because it isn’t too out there and it adds enough colour to make your makeup look pop a little bit more! It’s a deep eggplant colour that I think really enhances my eye colour! The pencil itself is actually quite creamy but I don’t have issues with it smudging too much. I love that it is retractable because it means no sharpening yay! =) Unfortunately, I don’t think they get sold individually so you do have to purchase them in a trio set. This particular shade is from the eyeliner trio for brown eyes, which also comes with a black (with purple glitter) and a dark brown (which I completely used up)!

I hope you enjoyed my favourites for this month. It is a week late but better late than never right? I’ve made more purchases this month so hopefully I will have a lot of new products to share in next month’s favourites! Have a lovely day everyone and I hope you had an amazing Easter! ♡

Review: L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Kajal Eyeliner in 501 Oriental Black

Today I will be reviewing this huge eyeliner from L’Oreal! =P This eyeliner was also a part of the same trial team package that came with the L’Oreal Miss Manga Mascaras by Beautyheaven. What really shocked me the most was that the pencil was a lot more larger than a typical pencil eyeliner.

This eyeliner is advertised as being “highly pigmented” and being designed to “create easy smokey eyes“. It has a “unique cone-shaped tip for easy application” and an “ultra-creamy formula for an effortless glide“. The liner is claimed to be “smudge, crease and fade resistant” and contains a “high concentration of ultra-black pigments for a deep shade of black“.

I really enjoy the shape of the pencil. It is very large but tapered to a perfect sized point to precisely line your upper eyelids as well as pack on colour onto the waterline. I like to use the pencil on its side to gradually build up the eyeliner and it provides a lot more precision.

The eyeliner is highly pigmented but because it is very creamy, it tends to smudge. If you have oily lids, be prepared for it to transfer especially if you have hooded eyelids!

Applied just as an eyeliner on both the upper lash line and waterline

This eyeliner really is very creamy and easy to apply on the waterline. It literally takes no effort at all for it to deliver as a highly pigmented black liner. I also think that it can be used quite nicely as a base for a smokey eye if blended out with a pencil brush but I think it would look better with some eyeshadows applied on top.

♡ Very creamy

♡ Easy to apply on the waterline

♡ Cone-shaped tip makes for very easy application

♡ Great pigmentation

♡ Requires sharpening

♡ Can sometimes apply unevenly on the eyelids

♡ Not smudge proof (especially on oily eyelids)

Things Every Teenager Should Know ♡

I came across this list when I was on Tumblr (via fearlessknightsandfairytales) and I seriously related to absolutely all of them. Below are little bits and pieces of advice that I feel absolutely every single teenager should keep in the back of their minds! It’s actually so eye opening how much every single one of these are relatable!

Divider (31)Divider (31)

1. People will promise to never leave you. They will. It’s ok to be sad when they do.

2. It is always ok to cry. Always. Find a bathroom, bury your face in your pillow, and let it out. Cry in the shower. Cry in the car. Cry when you need to.

3. Boys will flirt with you for a while and then ignore you. Then, they will flirt with you some more. It will be confusing. You have every right to stop putting up with it.

4. Pay attention to what people say when they’re angry. When you make up and they tell you they didn’t mean any of it, know that they did. Also know that they wish they didn’t. Forgive them.

5. Never pretend to be someone you’re not. If you don’t like tea and classic novels, don’t act like you do to impress people. If you don’t want to wear leather jackets and combat boots, don’t wear them to please someone else.

6. People will be mean to you; they will spread lies, call you names, and talk about you behind your back. Eventually you will realise that it is petty and stupid and not worth your time. You’ll be alright. Move on with your life.

7. Your friends will not always be there for you. When you really need to talk, they will sometimes not want to hear it. That’s ok. Take a deep breath and remember all the times you felt the same way. Exhale.

8. You will wait and wait and wait for your first kiss and your first date and your first relationship. The anticipation will kill you. You will keep trying to find the right person in everyone you meet. Relax. There’s no rush. The best things happen unplanned.

9. Enjoy being young. Love that everything is spontaneous. As you get older, things become more and more scheduled out. Embrace the fact that you aren’t there yet.

10. Tell people how you feel. It will be terrifying in some cases and gratifying in others. It will create relationships and ruin them. But speak your mind, even if your voice shakes, because your thoughts may never otherwise be heard.

11. Sleep. If you go to bed late, sleep in. If you’re still tired when you wake up, go back to bed. If you can’t stay awake during the day, take a nap. Sleeping is a foolproof way of getting rid of your problems for a little while. Utilise it.

12. Talk to people. Talk to your sister about the guy she likes. Talk to your mum about her childhood. Talk to your dad about his favourite books. Talk to your grandparents about their families. Talk to your friends, talk to your pets, talk to the cute waitress at the restaurant. Learn things from them. Be inspired.

13. Always bring a sweater. Even if you think it won’t be cold.

14. Try new things. Eat a new food, try a new kind of juice, switch up the way you dress. You never know what you might end up loving. Life can get boring. Mix it up a bit.

15. Take care of yourself. Wash your hair with that good smelling soap you love. Eat fruits and vegetables. Drink lots of water. Go for long walks in pretty parks.

16. School is important. Try your hardest. If you don’t get something, ask for help. Do your homework. Show your teachers that you’re willing to work hard, and when it comes time to apply to colleges, you’ll be glad you did.

17. There will always be someone prettier, smarter, funnier, or more popular than you. The beauty of it is that it isn’t a competition.

Divider (31)Divider (31)

I hope this list makes a lot of you feel reassured! I know that there are people of different ages reading my blog so I would love to know if any of you relate to these too! I’m nearing the end of my teenage life in a couple of months and I really do wish I read these when I was younger. I hope that at least one person out there feels less stressed and more reassured after reading this! =) ♡

Confessions of a Beauty Blogger Tag

1. How many hours a week do you spend planning/writing/uploading posts?
Planning doesn’t take long at all because I write as I go as soon as I come up with an idea. Writing of course takes the longest out of all three but it really depends on what I’m writing about! Reviews and tutorials take the longest because they require photography but doing tags like these do not take long at all in comparison! In total I think I spend a maximum of 3 hours doing all of those three things (and I love every minute of it hehe).

2. Are you a spender or a saver?
Honestly I would put myself in my middle. I set myself a budget that I can spend on beauty products each month. If there are several more high end products I’ve been eyeing, I will allow myself to only purchase one so I have to force myself to choose what I really want most. If I’ve been wanting to purchase makeup products from the drugstore, I will wait until there are deals on. I avoid purchasing full price items!

3. When is it easiest for you to write your posts?
Whenever I have an idea or product to write a review on! Thankfully I haven’t gotten into a rut where I’ve found it really hard to come up with posts since I’m still a fairly new blogger! I constantly get random sparks of ideas throughout the day and it has really made it easy for me to write my posts because I know exactly what the content of them will be!

4. What makes writing posts comfortable for you?
This is kind of a hard question to answer, I’ve never thought about it that much! I guess it’s just knowing that I’m able to express my passion in beauty and fashion to people who feel the same way! Everything kind of just flows from then.

5. What’s your worst makeup/hair habit?
For makeup, it’s washing my brushes too infrequently. I am extremely lazy when it comes to this, I find it really tedious and boring to do even though I know it’s so important for hygiene reasons.

For hair, it’s definitely that I get lazy to brush it sometimes and it gets really knotty. My hair is definitely quite tangly, which is why I refuse to brush it sometimes because it just gets all tied together and so I get too much hair fallout when I tug on it. =(

6. What’s one quote you wish the world would live by?
I have so many quotes I absolute adore so I picked 3 hehe:

Two things define you. Your patience when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything.” – I really respect people who persevere and work hard despite not having much. What bothers me the most are arrogant people who like to show off what they have. It’s one of the worst personality traits in my opinion.

Just because something isn’t happening for you now doesn’t mean it’s never going to happen. Don’t lose hope.” – This one is really personal to me. I’ve mentioned previously that failure is a fear of mine and I do always get the urge to just give up to avoid it but I keep reminding myself that I just need to pick myself back up and keep going! In my opinion, having the mindset behind this quote is really really important.

The only time you should look down at someone is when you are helping them up.” – I absolutely love this quote! I feel that society is really judgmental and our impressions are often formed by what we see right off the bat. If everyone in the world had this quote to live by, no one would ever feel the need to change themselves to be someone they’re not!

7. How long do you spend getting ready everyday?
It definitely depends on what I’m going to be doing the rest of the day! If it’s a typical casual day where I’ll just be at university or running errands then it will take a maximum of 10 minutes in terms of applying makeup and putting together an outfit. If I’m going out at night or I want to look extra nice to meet friends then it can take up to or even more than 30 minutes.

8. What’s your favourite post on your blog?
This is hard. I honestly can’t pick one!

9. Who is a beauty blogger that you think deserve more subscribers that they have?
Honestly, everyone I’ve met and have been talking to almost everyday on here! I think each and every one of you deserve to have as many people possible read all your amazing posts and be updated no them! =D

10. What’s one thing you’re excited about in the coming year?
I’m looking forward to working on my blog more and coming up with some content. I’m also planning on starting up a small business selling homemade body products so I’m excited to work on perfecting everything going into the whole thing!

11. What has been your favourite blogging moment?
Reaching 1,000 followers was such a huge and joyful achievement for me. I did not see it coming at all but I am truly so grateful! Blogging has probably been the best thing I’ve ever started doing and I never want to stop!

12. How long does it take to prep for a post?
I usually don’t prepare, I just write as I go as soon as I come up with an idea! The good thing about typing is that I can always edit whenever I need to so I don’t feel the need to prepare. =) If it’s the sort of post that requires some sort of preparation, I will break my post down into categories or main points then expand on them!

13. Are you wearing jeans/skirt right now or are you wearing pyjama bottoms?
Neither! =P I’m in gym clothes right now!

If you’re a beauty blogger, definitely do this tag! =) I tag all of you to do this, it’d be really interesting to find out how similar or different we are! ♡

Review: Holika Holika Soda Pore BB Deep Cleansing Foam

Holika Holika is a brand I only recently started looking into and during my search, I saw that this specific cleanser was reviewed as being quite nice. I was in the market for a new cleanser but I wasn’t completely sure on which one or type I should pick up but this particular one caught my eye. It isn’t a product that is very widespread in the beauty blogging community so I wanted to share my experience with it! =)

The cleanser’s active ingredients and their purposes include:

① Soda bead and sparking water – removes BB cream and skin wastes, deeply cleanses pores
② Baking powder – helps remove sebum and black heads
③ Witch hazel and tea tree – tightens pores, removes sebum and skin wastes
④ Harrogate sparkling water – supplies abundant minerals to the skin

The cleanser itself is a very thick and white cream with small blue exfoliating beads distributed throughout. The scent of this cleanser is amazing. It smells just like lemonade! =)

The cleanser comes in standard squeeze tube packaging

The cleanser lathers beautifully on the skin. It requires no effort for the cream to transform into a foam when the skin is slightly damp. As with all cleansers, I use my Clarisonic Mia 2 to deeply work the product into my skin. My skin does not feel dry or stripped of any facial oils afterwards (but keep in mind that my skin is not sensitive)! My skin appears a lot brighter and is not extremely red like it normally is when I use other cleansers.

Although I have been enjoying this cleanser, it hasn’t helped my acne or acne scarring so this means I will not repurchase it immediately and try some other cleansers. However, it does leave my skin feeling very clean and that is what it claims to do so I wouldn’t say I am disappointed. I normally do not just use a cleanser to remove my makeup because I feel that it is inefficient and I take off a majority of it during the shower anyway. If you wear lighter makeup then this cleanser will help remove most of it but I would still recommend either using a makeup remover beforehand or following up with a toner afterwards just to remove any excess!

Also big FYI, it does burn if it gets in your eyes so please be careful! I was tearing up so badly when I was washing too close to my eyes (silly mistake on my part though =P)!

♡ Lathers very nicely

♡ Only need a pea-sized amount

♡ Cleanses skin well

♡ Inexpensive

♡ Smells good (exactly like lemonade!)

♡ Does not dramatically change skin in terms of acne or scarring
