♡ Haul: Nike & Lululemon Athletica Workout Clothes

Haul-SportswearMarch

On my Dad’s birthday last weekend, I went on a family trip to a few factory outlets and picked up some new sportswear. I always get excited to pick up new sports clothes because it’s the only time I will actually wear more bright and fun colours LOL. It’s also just fun to pick up some new cute clothes to wear to the gym. =) If you’re interested in buying new workout gear, I would recommend you either buy off Eastbay online or search your local factory outlets. They often have great deals on and it’s always good to save money whenever we can!

This top is so soft, it looks plain in terms of its style (it’s just a basic T-back tank top) but it feels amazing and lightweight. I literally cannot stop touching it when I wear it LOL (I probably look like a creeper D=). It looks pastel pink in the photo but it’s actually a pretty, bright bubblegum pink shade! I took the tag off this one and I’ve seemed to have forgotten the price but I believe it was between $18 to $20 after discount!

NikeHaul1-3

The material of this tank is different to the one above, it’s not as soft but it still has the same fit on the body. For exercise, I prefer more slim fitting clothes because I find them to be more comfortable and they don’t get in the way like baggier clothes do! This tank is a brighter coral shade and it was reduced at 50% off from $50 to $25!

NikeHaul1-2

I didn’t have that many running shorts before this shopping trip, I had a phase of purchasing a lot of different pants but because it still gets humid here in Australia, I wanted to pick up a few more shorts so I could rotate around them more easily!

NikeHaul1-4

This is the same style of shorts as the one above but in a highlighter, neon yellow shade! I love how bright these shorts are. =) Both of the shorts were further 50% from an original price of $35 so they were $17.50 each.

➳ All of the items I picked up from Nike are from the Dri-Fit range, which is designed to keep the body cool when you sweat during exercise! =)

L u l u l e m o n

LululemonHaul1-1

These tanks were reduced from $75 to $19 so I just had to pick them up! I liked the cut-outs because I thought they were quite unique. A lot of my tops are more on the simple side so I thought these would be a nice way to change things up a little.

I hope you enjoyed this haul! Also please excuse how awkward the clothes look splayed on my bed. It’s difficult for me to get them to look nice and neat! >< LOL but thank you all for reading! ♡

Beauty Boo-Boos Tag!

BeautyBooBoosTag

So I came across this tag on Nicole‘s blog and I thought it was such a cute idea. I think it’s hilarious to look back into the past and remember all the beauty faux pas we made LOL. We’ve definitely all had those phases that we look back on and terribly regret! The purpose of the tag is to list 5 of them so here are mine:

 O v e r p l u c k e d  E y e b r o w s

When I first discovered how bushy my eyebrows were and seeing every other girl in school have such neatly defined brows, I wanted to take it upon myself to pluck my eyebrows. This was a horrible idea because I did not have any guide as to what sort of shape and thickness would be most flattering for my face shape so I kept plucking until I had very thin, arched eyebrows. Looking back, they were so unflattering but I’m just so thankful that they managed to grow back so now they’re bushy again LOL.

 O d d  M a k e u p  C o l o u r  C o m b i n a t i o n s

Everyone starts off with a minimal makeup collection. I started off with just an eyeshadow palette my Mum passed onto me because she doesn’t ever use eyeshadow alongside some freebies I got from purchasing magazines. Because of my limited makeup collection, I was wearing shimmery grey eyeshadow with green eyeliner on my waterline…and that was it! That was my entire makeup look. I’m so glad there were no photos of me at this time! I cringe even thinking about it. =P

 W r o n g  F o u n d a t i o n  S h a d e

This is definitely something I have experienced so many times, especially when testing out new foundations. While I used to test out different BB creams, this was a common boo-boo because they always lean on the more paler side. At one point in time, I was wearing BB cream that was too white for my skin. This is why it’s so important to do makeup under daylight! >< My skin looked great when I applied it in the mirror but under daylight, I would look as pale as a ghost! It was definitely not a good look for me and I’m so terribly embarrassed of everyone that saw me!

④ N o  M a s c a r a

There was a point in time when I would wear a full face of makeup but skip mascara! The reason why I did this was because I didn’t like how it would smudge everywhere and give me panda eyes when I took off my makeup. This was before I had makeup remover so I was relying on just face wash to take off my makeup! Looking back, I find it a little ironic how mascara has become an essential product in my makeup routine because it makes such a huge difference! I definitely don’t skip mascara anymore whenever I put on any sort of makeup. =)

⑤ N o  F o u n d a t i o n

This is an ever weirder one for me but one time when I went on holidays, I didn’t wear foundation but I only put on eye makeup and lipstick. The photos I took were horrific because my skin back then was a lot worse than it is now so it just clashed so bad! Having a clear canvas is so important when applying makeup, it’s either wear no makeup at all or have some sort of base makeup incorporated into a makeup look in my opinion! Unless you have a clear face naturally then I am so so jealous! =)

These were my 5 beauty boo-boos (I’m sure I’ve had so many more than these too LOL)! I’d love to know what yours were so feel free to do this tag too or leave your top 5 in the comments below! ♡

Review: TonyMoly Crystal Jelly Cheek Pot in 01 Angel Peach

YAY! =3 It’s my official two month blogging anniversary today! Thank you all for the amazing support you have given me since I first started up my blog! You guys are the loveliest bunch of people and I will also continue to always support all of you too. ♡

I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve done a review. I’m sorry it’s been so long but I still hope you all have been enjoying my other blog posts. Today I’ll be reviewing a blush by TonyMoly. I picked this up from YesStyle at the beginning of last year because it was on clearance and at the time, I didn’t have many blushes in my collection let alone a more peachy-orange toned shade! I was also just very intrigued as to what ‘Crystal Jelly’ meant! =O

TonyMolyCheekPotPackaging

I really love the feeling of this blush. It feels very soft and almost creamy like but it’s definitely a powder. It feels spongy like a cushion, which completely explains why it has ‘jelly’ in the product name. The packaging itself is also lightweight and easy to travel with. It’s just a standard clear and compact case!

TonyMolyCheekPotHandSwatch

The colour looks quite out there in the swatch because it looks like a true pastel peach shade (under natural indoor lighting it definitely comes across as being more orange than in the picture above, which was taken under sunlight) but if you look at the picture of it on my skin right below, you can see that it doesn’t translate that harshly at all because of the pigmentation of the blush.

TonyMolyCheekPotApplication

The blush itself is sheer and requires multiple layers for it to show up on my personal skin tone. It would look beautiful on people with paler skin tones but on me, I really have to build up the blush for it to show up. The end result is very natural and gives a peachy flush on the cheeks.

Overall, I’m not extremely impressed and I wouldn’t say it’s necessary for you to buy this product. It’s definitely just an average blush but the only thing is that it has an interesting texture that is fun to play around with! Even when it comes to my most natural makeup looks, I want a blush that is more pigmented so it can add enough colour on my face. When I have more colour on my cheeks, I don’t feel the need to wear more eye makeup or wear a brighter lip shade!

♡  Fun and unique colour

♡ Interesting soft and bouncy texture

♡ Natural finish

♡ FOTD: Minimal Makeup Look

As promised, I stated that I would be posting up more pictures of the NYX lip products I hauled and today I really wanted to test out the creamy round lipstick on my lips to see how well it would last on my lips.

I am going to do a full review on the blush but I have to say that I’ve owned it for about a year now and I never find myself reaching for it. The colour is really unique to my collection, I don’t own many orange-toned blushes and the texture is really interesting but I’m just not overly impressed by it. I will do a review on it soon though so keep your eyes open for it! =)

E y e s ⟢

FOTD6Eyes

I decided to do a subtle spotlight eye makeup look today, which is where the centre of your lids are brighter and lighter than the inner and outer corners of your eyelids. I used the Natural At Night palette, which is one that I do enjoy using! It has a great selection of deeper colours but as you can see, I can also use it during the daytime for subtle looks so it is definitely a very versatile neutral eyeshadow palette.

For the look, I used only two shades for the entire look:

♡ “Nightcap” all over the lids and the crease
♡ “Eclipse” in the outer and inner corners of the eyelids

I missed using eyeliner so I decided to do a very thin line to define my eyes a little more. I’ve also realised that I haven’t actually done a review on the DollyWink liquid eyeliner I used either so I will be putting that onto my to-do list because it’s a liquid eyeliner that I have been using for several years now and it’s my go-to black liquid eyeliner!

⟣ L i p s

Today I used the NYX Extra Creamy Round Lipstick in Tea Rose, which as I mentioned in my haul, is an absolutely beautiful natural pinky nude shade. I love the formulation of the lipstick, it seriously is so creamy and it glides onto the lips so easily. It does not take any effort to get fantastic pigmentation. It also lasts decently well on the lips and I do not have to reapply that often. However, I found that it would emphasise any dry skin on the lips so I would recommend applying a little bit of lip balm before applying the lipstick, even though it’s moisturising itself!

Another really natural makeup look today but I hope you enjoyed it! The main purpose was to just show you all how the lipstick looks on my lips! =) Have a lovely day!

Hi everyone! I’ve come across some really beautiful nail art on Pinterest, Facebook and Tumblr that I wanted to share with you guys. Hopefully you’ll feel inspired and draw some ideas from some of these! I personally am not that great at nail art but I know a lot of people who are into it and I also just get incredibly amazed by how much talent it takes to do them! Let me know which one is your favourite, what sort of nail polish colours you guys usually use and whether you like doing nail art or not! I’d love to know. =)

I hope you all enjoyed this post! Hehe I haven’t done much on nail polish before but I definitely will be doing some NOTDs and reviews on some in my collection soon! I know that I haven’t done some reviews in awhile but I really want to get back on track with them!

Overview: Mascara Collection

MascaraCollection

Hi everyone! I’ve realised that I have several mascaras open at the moment, which is something that used to never happen because I didn’t want them to dry out but I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to go through each one and show before and after pictures so you can see the differences between them! =) I have 5 opened up at the moment and I will be going through each one, showing you how each one works and explaining how they wear on my eyelashes. My lashes naturally are quite long but they point downwards and a factor that I look into on my search for the perfect mascara is that it has to be able to hold the curl throughout the entire day. Because I haven’t been wearing eyeliner everyday, I’ve been going for mascaras that lengthen my lashes and if they do hold the curl, my eyes just look so much bigger, brighter and more awake.

None of these are listed in any particular order. I am going through each one randomly! =)

L ‘ O r e a l  P a r i s  V o l u m i n o u s  C a r b o n  B l a c k

MascaraCollection-1

This mascara is quite popular, I used to hear about it all the time on YouTube back in the day. Unfortunately, I believe it’s no longer sold in retail stores (at least here in Australia?) so you can only purchase it online and through other means now. =( I will review it anyway so that if you do have a chance to pick the mascara up, you can decide whether or not you want to. The claims of this mascara are that it “builds and thickens voluptuous lashes while conditioning them, so they remain supple and healthy” and has “an exceptionally plush brush designed to glide on just the right amount of mascara without clumping or flaking“.

L'OrealVoluminous

This mascara provides fantastic volume and sufficient length. It’s an allrounder great mascara that I think everyone would have a great time using. If you get a chance to pick this one up, I definitely recommend it.

L ‘ O r e a l  P a r i s  M e g a  V o l u m e  M i s s  M a n g a

MascaraCollection-2

I’ve done a complete review on this mascara already, if you want to see you can click here. I also write about the turquoise shade in the range in that post! But for the purpose of this post, I will still do my brief summary of this mascara just so everything will be in one place! If you wish to read the claims of the mascara, please visit my previous post. =)

L'OrealMissManga

This mascara does a great job at lengthening my lower lashes but it does an ok job with my upper lashes. I feel that it provides more length than it does volume. It also tends to get a bit clumpy when more than one coat is applied. I would recommend this mascara if you’re looking to try out some coloured mascaras because they have a few fun, bright colours in the collection.

M o d e l C o  F a t  L a s h  V o l u m i s i n g  B l a c k

MascaraCollection-3

When I signed up for Bellabox, this was a mascara that was sent to me as part of the package and I was really intimidated when I saw the brush. It’s unbelievably massive! The claims of this mascara are that it is “volumising and lengthening“, “has a smudge proof formula that won’t dry or flake“, “is creamy and buildable for extra volume“, “has a silicone brush that helps separate, lift and define the lashes” and a “bomber shaped brush that reaches every lash“.

ModelCoFatLashApplication

I adore this mascara because it hold the curl of my lashes really well. It also just does a fantastic job at both lengthening and providing volume to my upper and lower lashes. The only issue is that it’s really easy to accidentally smudge some of the mascara onto your skin because the brush is really big. If you have shorter lashes that are difficult to reach, this mascara would not be a great choice for you.

M a y b e l l i n e  V o l u m ‘  E x p r e s s  M e g a  P l u s h

MascaraCollection-4

This mascara is the first gel-mousse formulation by Maybelline and its claims are that it “contains 40% less hard waxes for massive yet soft lashes“, has a “patented flexor brush that gently coats every lash with supple volume” and “leaves lashes never brittle or flaky“. Therefore, as the name suggests, it’s not meant to give lashes that leave a hard or ‘crusty’ feeling but keeps them feeling soft!

MaybellineMegaPlush

I do like this mascara because it does what it claims to do! It gives me naturally lengthened lashes and really does make them look like I’m not wearing much makeup because my lashes look soft, not caked on with layers of mascara. If you’re looking for a false lash effect then this mascara would not be a great choice for that purpose.

M a y b e l l i n e  V o l u m ‘  E x p r e s s  T h e  F a l s i e s  W a s h a b l e

MascaraCollection-5

I was really excited to try this mascara out when I first purchased it because I’m always searching for the perfect mascara that will give me the look of false lashes. Maybelline describes the mascara as having a “patented spoon brush that fans out lashes from corner-to-corner“, “instantly builds volume without clumping with a pro-keratin formula” and has a “unique flexible wand that helps to lift and separate lashes to provide the look of 300% more visible, fuller lashes with no gaps from any angle“.

MaybellineFalsies

I had the highest expectations for this mascara after reading the name of it but to be honest, it’s just an average mascara. I do like it though because it’s great for when I’m looking to achieve naturally enhanced lashes but it does not give a false lash effect on me. Therefore, if you’re hoping that this mascara will give you the appearance of amplified false lashes, it might not work out for you like it did with me!

Let me know which mascara you think looks best on me and also give me some recommendations on some new mascaras I should be on the lookout for! I hope you enjoyed this post! ♡

Beginner Blogging Guide

BloggingGuide

I’ve gotten a few questions both in the past and recently on tips to run a blog. I thought it would be nice to compile a post with all the main points I think are really important in running a successful blog. I am so flattered to have been approached multiple times and I’ve always been more than happy to give little bits and pieces of advice. =) Like my uni guide, I will also be splitting this apart into smaller categories so it’ll be easy for you understand and break everything down!

Divider (31)Divider (31)

Originality

With so many blogs all over the internet, it’s essential that you not only be yourself but to also stand out in some way or another! You want your blog to represent yourself at the maximum and this is already enough to be original, because you’re you and there’s no one else out there identical to you! But chances are, people will not know who you are so you need to choose a name that will give others a lasting impression of you.

♡ Choose a suitable blog name! I honestly think this is the hardest part when starting up a new concept or idea. Coming up with a name can be extremely difficult, especially if the name you decided on in advance is already taken! The name itself should just relate personally to yourself and if you know you’ll have a focus on just one particular category, incorporate that into the name. I’m personally really into puns and play on words. =P

♡ Use nice graphics and a neat layout! Making your blog aesthetically pleasing by using nice graphics and a well composed layout is essential. I know we’re told to not judge a book by its cover, but it’s so hard not to! The nicer your blog looks, the more likely people will want to come back and anticipate more posts from you. =) In terms of graphics, I use Adobe Photoshop CS6 to create and edit them. If not, you can find some off the internet, which I often turn to as well. Just make sure that you credit the sources wherever possible. There are so many choices that there is no doubt you will find what you’re looking for!

♡ Alongside using nice graphics and an appropriate layout, have a consistent theme! In my case, I layout my posts differently according to their topic so my tutorials, guides, collections/overviews, tags etc. all have a different theme to them! I think this is a great way to keep things consistent but a little different at the same time (if that makes any sense hehe). Sometimes looking at one theme every single time can get a little bland so it’s nice to change things up once in a while!

Writing

The main purpose of blogging is to write of course! I think it’s really important to adapt a nice and concise way of writing so that everyone will enjoy reading about what you have to say.

♡ Check spelling and use appropriate grammar and punctuation. This is especially important if you’re trying to maintain a professional blog. It’s also just a lot easier to read if the writing is in the correct format! =P I know that I use a lot of smileys in my posts but that’s just me being myself (see last category hehe) but I definitely want to make sure that I have no spelling errors and that the text itself is clear!

♡ Use subheadings to break your post down. This will probably only be necessary for longer posts but this a tip that would also benefit you because you’ll be able to plan out your post a little better and it also makes it easier to expand on what you want to say.

Proofread your posts! I always make sure that all my posts are read at least once more time through before I press the publish button. I would never want to post something I didn’t want to say or if I’ve repeated anything, I’d definitely want to make sure it gets removed! Make sure that the final product is exactly what you would want other people to read.

♡ Use tags and categories. Picking appropriate tags will make it easier for other people to search and find your posts. Categorising is also important because it will allow other people to quickly navigate through your posts to find what interests them! If they enjoy a specific post and wish to read more about what you have to say on that particular topic, categorising will be absolutely fundamental!

Consistency

It’s important that you post on a relatively regular basis. People want to read as many amazing posts from you as possible! If you make a commitment to blog on certain days of the week or fortnight, people will constantly visit your blog to see if you have uploaded any new posts.

♡ Have an upload schedule. I know that with life commitments, it’s hard to upload very frequently but I think it’s great to dedicate a time that you can spend to blog and upload. Whether it be once a week or once a fortnight, select a time most suitable for you and stick with it! A successful blog means you need to commit to it so just work around your own time schedule and find a slot that blogging can fit into perfectly. =)

Interaction

Another important one is to interact with your followers and other fellow bloggers! In my opinion, the best part about the blogging community is all the amazing and incredibly talented people! I like dedicating my time to like and comment on posts as much as I can. It’s nice to both give love and return the love you receive from other people!

Talk to other bloggers and engage with your followers. You can’t expect to find people to read your blog if you don’t go searching for them yourself first! Not only will you be finding new fantastic blogs to follow and read incredible posts from, they will be introduced to your own blog too. It’s a win-win situation!

♡ Leave thoughtful and sincere comments. Don’t spam other blog posts with an advertisement for your blog. This can come across as being a bit aggressive and rude so make sure that if you do decide to leave a comment, make it appropriate to the actual content of their posts! Actually read their post and leave a comment related to it.

BeYourself

The most important tip is to just be yourself and enjoy the glory that is blogging! Surely you would have decided to start up a blog after thinking that it would be a fantastic new hobby, and it truly is! Great decision hehe.

♡ Be genuine and true to yourself. No matter what you post and say, it should reflect your true morals, values and opinions. If you’re planning on writing beauty reviews, please do make sure that everything you say is completely honest. People are reading reviews because they want to see if particular products will work out for them so give them the help they are looking for! =) Also, don’t ever feel the need to post about something you’re uncomfortable with. Always check that it’s something you want to share for the rest of the internet to see.

♡ Have the best time of your life! If there ever is a certain point in time where blogging no longer becomes fun to you and is a chore or becomes stressful, take a break! No one will blame you if you have had a tough time or anything along those lines and just aren’t in the mood to write about anything. This is your blog and you are always welcome to take a step back from it if you want or need to!

100 Questions No One Ever Asks Tag

 100QuestionsNoOneEverAsksTag

So I stole this from Maffy hehe and I thought this one would be so fun to do because these questions really are ones that no one ever asks LOL! As always, I tag all of you to do this! I hope you enjoy it!

Do you sleep with your closet doors open or closed?
Closed! I’ve watched too many horror movies to know not to ever leave them open. D=

Do you take the shampoos and conditioner bottles from hotel?
Not anymore! I used to but I realised they just piled up because I never used them so I stopped LOL.

Do you sleep with you sheets tucked in or out?
Tucked in! =) It seems weird if I tuck them out.

Have you ever stolen a street sign before?
No! Hahaha I’d have nothing to do with it. o_o It must take so much effort anyway and I have no idea why anyone would want to!

Do you like to use post-it notes?
YES! They are so useful in uni! I like using them in textbooks to summarise important parts so that I don’t make any marks and therefore, they can be resold the following year. =)

Do you cut out coupon but then never use them?
Yes! I keep telling myself that I will use them but then I never do. =P I guess it’s good in a way because then I save money from not buying anything at all LOL.

Would you rather be attacked by a big bear or a swarm of bees?
My goodness. Ummm I think a swarm of bees! A giant bear would be scary and I’m not entirely sure whether I could outrun one. Could I run into some water or something to stop the bees? ><

Do you have freckles?
No, I don’t! I think they’re really cute though. =D

Do you always smile for pictures?
Most of the time! I don’t like showing my teeth though LOL so sometimes they turn out really awkward. -_- This is why I only like taking selfies, because I can see what I look like beforehand LOLOL.

What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who walk really really slowly in front of you! I’m not sure if this is my biggest one but it’s definitely one of them.

Divider (2)

Do you ever count your steps when you walk?
Nope, never! I

Have you ever peed in the woods?
Yes. HAHAHA.

What about pooped in the woods?
Oh no. Never!

Do you ever dance even if there’s no music playing?
Of course I do LOL! Only when I’m alone though. It’d look so awkward just randomly busting out in a dance in public! D=

Do you chew your pens and pencils?
No! That’s actually another pet peeve of mine now that I’ve been reminded about it! =P

How many people have you slept with this week?
Wow that’s really personal LOL but none!

What size is your bed?
Single! I want a bigger bed. =(

What is your song of the week?
Linger by Guy Sebastian featuring Lupe Fiasco. ♡

Is it okay for guys to wear pink?
Of course it is! Anyone can wear whatever they’d like to without any judgment from other people. =)

Do you still watch cartoons?
I totally would but I don’t anymore! =( I miss my childhood, I would watch them every morning before going to school and every afternoon when I came back home!

Divider (2)

What’s your least favourite movie?
I don’t really have a movie I dislike that much to have a least favourite. =O

Where would you bury hidden treasure if you had some?
Probably in my backyard or something LOL (such a typical spot). I don’t really know any special places I’d hide it. =P

What do you drink with dinner?
My mum makes freshly squeezed orange juice every night to go along with dinner!

What do you dip a chicken nugget in?
Sweet and sour sauce! I haven’t had a chicken nugget in such a long time. =O

What is your favourite food?
In terms of cuisine, Japanese food! I love classic chicken teriyaki.

What movies could you watch over and over and still love?
Any Disney movie, Mean Girls…that’s all I can think of at the moment LOL.

Last person you kissed/kissed you?
Some boy LOL. Wouldn’t want to blast his name out on here. =O

Were you ever a boy/girl scout?
Nope! I wish I did though. =( It’s not a huge thing in Australia but I remember there were some short term programs and things similar to being a scout!

Would you ever strip or pose nude in a magazine?
I wouldn’t be comfortable doing that, I don’t want the whole world to know how I look naked HAHA. =P

When was the last time you wrote a letter to someone on paper?
Wow, it was so long ago. I can’t remember exactly when but I think it might have been back in 2008.

Divider (2)

Can you change the oil on a car?
Yes!

Ever gotten a speeding ticket?
Nope! Hope I won’t ever get one. =O

Ever ran out of gas?
Thankfully not. =D

Favourite kind of sandwich?
Good ol’ peanut butter!

Best thing to eat for breakfast?
Oats with a banana, chia seeds and a drizzle of honey! Yum!

What is your usual bedtime?
Any time between 11:30pm to 2:00am. It’s definitely a lot later when I have school!

Are you lazy?
I used to be a lot more lazier but I’m better about that now. It really depends on the situation though!

When you were a kid, what did you dress up as for Halloween?
This is so sad but I’ve never ever celebrated Halloween. It’s not as big of a holiday here in Australia unfortunately! =( I’ve always wanted to dress up though!

What is your Chinese astrological sign?
Piggy hehehe.

How many languages can you speak?
Completely fluently – only English. ><

Divider (2)

Do you have any magazine subscriptions?
None, I don’t read magazines anymore. =O

Which are better, legos or lincoln dogs?
Legos!

Are you stubborn?
Yes, very much LOL.

Who is better, Leno or Letterman?
I haven’t watched much Leno so Letterman I guess? =P

Ever watch soap operas?
Not anymore!

Are you afraid of heights?
To a certain point. I’m not scared being at the top of really high buildings and looking down but I think if I was in a bungee jumping or skydiving situation, it’d be totally different!

Do you sing in the car?
LOL sometimes I do!

Do you sing in the shower?

March Luxury Fashion Wishlist ✮

March2015LuxuryFashionWishlist

I’m awaiting the day when I’ll finally be able to purchase high end fashion pieces without feeling so guilty about it but for now I’m going to appreciate them through shop windows and browsing online. =P I’m definitely not someone who absolutely loves and needs designer products (I like to purchase cheaper items that are just as cute), I just think they look nice, are high quality and are great rewarding gifts for yourself and of course other people too!

MarchLuxuryWishlist-1

The style of the Givenchy bag is my absolute favourite, I’m really into over the shoulder bags with longer straps that are decently sized to fit more than just your phone, wallet and keys. I absolutely adore the deep red colour! I think out of all dark colours, deep red is my favourite! It’s a colour that matches quite easily into my current wardrobe and I think it’s perfect for the autumn and winter.

② V a l e n t i n o  R o c k s t u d  P a t e n t  S a n d a l

MarchLuxuryWishlist-2

This is such a classic designer shoe in my opinion but I absolutely love it. I think they look really glam, especially with the studs. I also don’t own any pointed nude heels!

Elie Saab is my favourite designer when it comes to gowns. The detail in his dresses are so incredible and every piece is seriously breathtakingly gorgeous. I have no idea when I’ll be in a situation that requires me to wear one of his gowns but I would still be so honoured to own one! Perhaps on my wedding day hehe.

I love gold jewellery and I think this bracelet is such a beautiful piece. It would be perfect to wear everyday. It can be worn by itself for a subtle statement or layered for arm candy! Love it, I think it’s a timeless bracelet in my opinion! ♡

My list definitely isn’t extensive but I would be so honoured to be able to own even just one of these items! Hehe I can dream for now. =P Are there any luxury splurge-worthy items that you have been eyeing lately? Let me know! =)

Rules for the award:

  1. Thank and follow the blog that nominated you.
  2. Tell us 11 facts about yourself.
  3. Answer the questions that were set for you to answer.
  4. Nominate 11 bloggers and set questions for them.

11 facts about me:

  1. I’m so afraid to receive any sort of open surgery because the thought of myself being cut open is just terrifying even though I know I won’t be awake through it.
  2. I’m a really really fast walker when I walk by myself, it looks like I’m in a major rush to go somewhere. I always want to get from A to B as fast as possible, even if it means I’m going to be really early and I’m not quite sure why LOL.
  3. I never get specific food cravings. o_o I’m always down to eat anything and I’m one of those people who never has any suggestion of food spots (sorry! ><) because I will literally be content going absolutely anywhere!
  4. I love giving and receiving hugs! ♡
  5. I don’t like wasting food. I will finish an entire plate even if I’m really full! I’m grateful that I have a big appetite already so it’s not difficult most of the time.
  6. When I was younger, I had the biggest obsession with Powerpuff Girls. Bubbles was my favourite and my room was very much PPG themed.
  7. I used to play the Nintendo DS all the time and my favourite game was Hotel Dusk. The sequel is also fantastic.
  8. Candice Swanepoel is total body goals.
  9. I have broken one too many umbrellas LOL. They always flip out when it’s windy. =(
  10. I love going on long car rides. I find them really chill and relaxing!
  11. It’s hard for me to oversleep. My body naturally wakes up after I have 7 to 8 hours of sleep and when I do, I feel really well rested!

Questions:

⟣ B r e e

1. What was the most delicious meal you’ve ever had?
Oh this is tough! I’m not the biggest foodie so I’m easy to please when it comes to food. I’d have to say that I was impressed by the pork crackling I had while I was in Hong Kong over the Christmas holidays. It was unbelievably crispy, juicy and tender all at the same time. It totally blows the ones I’ve eaten back at home out of the water.

2. Salty or sweet?
Definitely salty. Since going on a health kick, I’ve been avoiding sugary foods except for on birthdays and other special events but I do eat and prefer the odd fried food on occasion!

3. What was the last makeup item you hit pan on?
I’ve honestly never hit pan on any of my makeup items. I definitely have a few dents in some but none have ever actually touched the bottom of the pan yet! =O I definitely go through foundations a lot more and the last one I finished up was the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation.

4. What is your favourite thing about blogging?
The people. Everyone on here always lifts up my mood and make me smile when I’m feeling down or even when I’m happy, I just love interacting with you guys and getting to know all your interests! =)

5. What’s your best asset?
My friends say it’s my eyes!

6. What’s your guilty pleasure?
Dried dates. I know they have a lot of nutrition in them but they’re also loaded with sugar at the same time and I always find myself eating one too many. =( I can’t help it though, they’re too good!

7. Square, round or sqround nails? Or other?
I like sqround nails! I feel that round nails don’t suit me because of the natural shape of my nails (they’re already more square in shape) but square nails can hurt especially on the edges so I always round them out a little. =P

8. What was the worst job you ever had?
I’ve only ever worked at my parent’s and I’ve done other volunteering jobs but I wouldn’t consider any of them to be bad at all!

9. Do you believe in ghosts?
Yes, I do! I’ve had one minor paranormal experience before but I’ve always believed in them.

10. Chocolate or vanilla?
I prefer vanilla flavoured food! =) I also love the scent of vanilla too!

11. Where do you go for style inspiration?
I’m obsessed with Tumblr so I always find great outfits on there but definitely Pinterest is another great place to find some ideas!

J a n i c e

1. Which character from Harry Potter would you be and why?
Probably Hermione! Who wouldn’t want to be Hermione? =D

2. What would your dream wedding look like?
Aw, I love this question! I want it to be really romantic of course hehe. I would love to have the actual ceremony outdoors, somewhere surrounded by flower gardens and just nature in general. I find outdoor weddings to be so peaceful and feminine! Of course, my family and close friends will be there but I’d want it to be more private, more close knit and not crowded with too many attendees.

3. What’s your dress sense/style? (E.g. girly, tomboy, monochrome, just brights)
I would describe it generally as feminine chic! I don’t wear black clothing too often and I love different styles of dresses when it’s warm but when it’s cold, I’m comfy casual! I love my oversized sweaters and skinny jeans with black ankle booties in the autumn and winter.

4. What do you enjoy blogging about?
I absolutely enjoy blogging about everything! I like taking photos for all my posts and I generally just love putting them together from the actual writing, making the graphics to the editing of all the photos on Photoshop. I love it all! ♡

5. If you could put any ingredients on a pizza, what would they be?
I like really simple, basic pizzas. I feel that any of those special gourmet pizzas that have too many ingredients (especially when they start adding stuff into the crust) are just too overpowering and clash too much. I think plain pepperoni with lots of mozzarella cheese is the best! The pepperoni has to be thin and crispy though!

6. Where is home to you?
Definitely my own bedroom. I always feel relaxed when I’m just laying in my own bed! =D I get really homesick and miss my bed when I’m out for more than a week.

7. If you found $10 in a shopping centre, what would you do with it?
Hm, assuming this is if I didn’t see it fall out of someone’s hands (so I knew I wouldn’t be directly stealing from someone =O) and it was in a random secluded place, I would probably just end up saving it! I know it’d be highly unlikely that it would get returned to the actual owner.

8. Which of these would you do: Sky dive, bungee jump or zip line?
I want to do sky diving the most but I think the least intimidating one is zip lining so I’d say it’d be the one I would actually not be afraid to try first LOL.

9. Have you been to any music festivals? Which ones?
No I haven’t but I’ve always wanted to! =( I’m planning on going this year though, probably to Stereosonic! I’m really looking forward to attending one.

10. What did you do today?
I was catching up on reading, liking and commenting on posts on my following list because I was out all day yesterday and didn’t get a chance to! =P

⟣ M i s s  D i m p l e s

1. Spring, summer, autumn or winter?
Spring for me! I love how it’s not too cold or too hot.

2. Top 2 YouTubers?
I did a post on my top 5 but I think my top 2 would have to be Chloe Morello for more classic Western style makeup and Pony from Pony’s Beauty Diary for Korean makeup!

3. Do you like watching horror movies or comedy movies?
I love both! I definitely watch more comedies though. It’s rare to find good horror movies these days!

4. What are your guilty pleasures?
Dried dates hehe. I always eat too many of them!

5. What did you think of the movie 50 Shades of Grey?
I still haven’t seen it yet or read the book so I don’t have an opinion yet! =P

6. Top 3 favourite restaurants?
I honestly don’t even have one! >< I’m not a picky eater (other than the fact that I avoid deep fried or sugary foods on a typical day) so I’m happy to eat at practically every single restaurant!

7. Which one do you like most, Kendall Jenner or Gigi Hadid?
In terms of modelling, I prefer Kendall’s look more. Gigi is beautiful of cousre too but I like Kendall’s more structured and defined face.

8. Celebrity crush?
There’s so many! Dave Franco is a major cutie. His smile is just.. ugh I can’t. ♡

9. Do you think reality TV shows are fake?
I definitely think some, if not most are! There’s no way that all of them aren’t scripted at all. =O

10. What do you like best about being a blogger?
Interacting with all of you guys! Blogging is so incredibly rewarding and I’m glad to have made so many special friendships. ♡

11. Are you excited for summer?
Summer just finished here in Australia and it’s autumn now! I definitely prefer the warmer seasons though so I guess I’m excited for summer to come again at the end of the year hehe.

D r a m a B e a u t y P o p

1. Which ONE person inspires you the most in life? Why does this person inspire you? How does it inspire you?
Hm, one person is tough! I can’t choose between my Mum and Dad. =( They both inspire me because they’re hard working and have done so much to provide for the family. Whenever I’m feeling lazy and demotivated, I always get reminded of them and the thought of their consistent hard work pushes me to achieve my own goals!

2. What is the best compliment you have ever received? Why is it so special?
Honestly, I think people that have complimented on my writing skills has been so special to me because I’ve always thought that my writing was bad LOL. Since starting up my blog, I’ve been hoping to improve my writing by reading other blogposts and just overall practising by making my own posts! I’ve learned that the best compliments aren’t always the ones based on physical appearance but on our skills and talents!

3. What is your favourite step of doing makeup? i.e. blush, eyeshadow, brow, etc.
I think the most fun would definitely have to be eyeshadow. I love how you can create so many different looks with different colours and textures! It’s just so fun to play around with.

4. Do you consider yourself a follower or a leader? Or both perhaps. Would you change this?
I think I’m both, it varies depending on the situation! If it comes to say group work in a school environment, I definitely seem to take on the role of a leader because I want to do well so I feel the need to make sure everyone knows what they’re doing so we can all ace the task together! =) Otherwise, I can be a follower too in a social setting. I don’t ever have many suggestions when I go out with friends etc. so I just do what they’re doing LOL.

5. Where do you see yourself in 5 years time? How about 10 years?
In 5 years, I’m hoping to be working in a job that I totally adore. At the moment, I’m not entirely sure what that will be but I do think I will figure it out by that time. In 10 years, I will hopefully have moved out and possibly be married!

6. Let’s think short term, what would you like to achieve by the end of this year, 2015?
My goal is simple but I’m hoping to just get really high marks in my university course now that I transferred. I feel as though I’ve been given a second chance so I want to do better than I ever have before! =)

7. Some people prefer large mansions, while others are happy with a small country home. Some prefers beach front while others like the busy New York city penthouse life. So tell me, what is your dream home like?
I definitely want my dream home to be in a somewhat quiet area but close to the city, because I also love being surrounded by people – I just need a bit of silence when I’m working on things hehe. Honestly, I would love to live in a relatively large mansion but the view isn’t something that would play a big factor in my dream home! Nothing too ridiculous though because I think it’s necessary to have like 20 rooms in a mansion when there aren’t that many people living inside. I just want a big cozy home!

8. If you had to live off of one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If I had to take into account that my nutrients would be so imbalanced LOL I would pick something like a chicken and quinoa salad. =P Is that cheating? HAHA. If nutrition was not a factor in this at all, then probably pizza!

9. Do you succumb to fear or strive to overcome it?
I definitely succumb to most of my fears but I’ve been working on trying to overcome them! There’s no better feeling than overcoming a fear!

10. Forgive AND forget? OR Forgive but NEVER forget?
I definitely forgive but never forget, but of course it depends on what happened too! If it’s something really minor then I will forget it but if someone has done something serious to hurt me physically or emotionally, then I would probably never forget it.

11. Since this is an “Infinity Dream”, I think it is appropriate to ask, please describe your dream life, in full details. You can get as specific as you’d like. Love, career, life, hobbies, have at it, have fun with it.
What a great question for this award! Hm, well I think everyone in life dreams of just being happy and successful! Well that’s my life goal anyway! I want to live my life to the fullest so that would mean that in terms of love, I’ll be married to my ‘soulmate’ and I’d want to have 3 children. I’m not 100% set on what career path I’d like to take yet but I just want it to be something that I’ll enjoy doing but pays well enough for me to support both my immediate family (giving back to my parents) as well as the family I’ll start in the future. =) Of course, I want to continue blogging on the side of that! I would also love to open up a small business on the side because I’ve always been fascinated in starting my own “brand” so to speak – designing the products etc. is something I’m interested in doing! I think all of these would be my ideal life goals!
