Review: L’Oreal Paris Brow Artist Plumper in Dark Brunette

There have been a lot more brow mascaras reaching the shelves in drugstores and I couldn’t be more excited! L’Oreal was one of the brands to do so, coming out with the Brow Artist Plumper. They don’t have a wide range of colour selections, which I find to be quite disappointing but I’m hoping that they will bring out more. Dark Brunette is more of a true brown. I have read many times that people are always searching for brow mascaras that have an ashy tone to them so if you are one of those people, then this brow mascara is not for you unfortunately! =(

The brush wand is perfect for the brows because it is not too large to the point where you have no control of where the product will apply but it’s not too small that it takes a long time to use. It is the perfect shape to quickly do your brows and I’ve found that it has been fantastic for me to use everyday when I’m in a rush.

L'OrealBrowMascaraApplication

My brows are already naturally quite full but the brow mascara does a great job at evening them out and setting them in place for the whole day. It does sort of make them feel a little stiff when you touch them but it’s not stiff enough that it feels uncomfortable or looks unnatural.

The brow mascara is very expensive (~$19) but in comparison to others such as the Benefit Gimme Brow, which is $35, it is not too bad. It also has a lot more product inside! I would definitely recommend this brow mascara for people who have been curious to try one but the colour range is quite limited, which I think is the main negative point of this product.

Great review! I’ve been eyeing this brow mascara because it’s drugstore and the shape of brush actually looks like it’s made for brows (unlike the weird ball one Maybelline came out with). It looks so awesome on you, shame about the price though!

Thank you! ❤ So true, the ball is a bit strange, I'm not sure what the purpose of it being that shape is LOL. o_o I know, the struggle of being an Australian and loving makeup. It's so expensive! 😦 😦

That is quite expensive where you’re at! It’s too bad to hear that they don’t carry more “ash” tones. I wonder what the blonde one is like if they have a blonde one. I have been very curious about this product. Thanks for the review! ❤

I know right? Makeup is always expensive here, I always purchase things on special to not feel so guilty on spending too much! 😛 They do have a blonde one but I’m also curious to see how that one works! You’re welcome hehe. ❤

Oh I haven’t tried ELF before! They stock it here though so I should look into their stuff. 😀 I know, the price is such a huge let down! 😦 It’s slightly cheaper when there are sales on though!

Hi Dorkchops! Nice name by the way. Followed you from our mutual friend Cee from ajarofdreams.wp.cpm. Just wondering if you have a mascara to recommend. I’m not looking so much for length because I wear eyeglasses and hate it when my lashes smudge in my lenses. Looking for a more of a volumizing mascara with a non-waterproof formula. Thanks! 🙂

Hi Dora! ❤ Thank you so much for following, Cee has an incredible blog! 🙂 🙂 I would recommend CoverGirl's Volume Lashblast, L'Oreal's Voluminous or ModelCo's Fat Lash mascara for great volumising mascaras!

I do always take a look at this blog although I have to be honest, I have minimal interest in make up and ladies fashion, however, you do write very well and you put your posts together with a great deal of professionalism which makes it easier on the eye of one not so attuned to the vagaries of a lady’s world 😉

Thank you so much, I really appreciate this. 😀 It’s always great to hear that people who don’t have much interest in the contents of my blog still enjoy viewing it! I used to never consider myself a good writer in the slightest but after hearing compliments from you and other people, I’ve been more confident and my joy to write has been growing so much! 🙂

I’m always on the hunt for a good eyebrow product. I actually really like the L’oreal Brow Artist Shaper, so I’m going to give this one a whirl to compare. 🙂 Too bad about how expensive it is in Aus – I used to live in New Zealand and I remember cosmetics were crazy expensive there too!
