Review: Nature Republic 92% Aloe Vera Soothing Gel

Today’s review is on one of the best selling skincare products in Korea (this is also my first skincare review yay!). =) It has sold over 20 million units, which is insane! It is a highly raved about moisturiser because people have claimed it to be very light and of course, moisturising on the skin. Aloe vera is a well-known plant that provides so many benefits to the human body, particularly for its healing properties. Nature Republic released a range of skincare items focusing on aloe vera as the main ingredient, all with at least 70% of aloe vera leaf extract. Of all the items, this soothing gel contains the most at 92%! On the official website, Nature Republic explains that the vitamins (particularly E and C) as well as other minerals in aloe vera “help protect the skin from UV rays” and “moisturise the skin“.

Nature Republic was extremely generous with including 300 grams of product in the tub. Because I haven’t had this product for a very long time yet, I have been using whatever is in the lid. I literally just dab my finger once into the lid and pick up the smallest amount per cheek then blend it throughout my entire face. I can already tell that it will take me a while to finish the tub, which is great considering that I paid only $10 for the entire thing! =)

NatureRepublicAloeVeraPackaging

The gel comes in a large screw-off green tub with a plastic cover over the actual contents!

Applying the gel on the skin is amazingly soothing, just as the name implies. It feels cool and refreshing on the skin. Especially since it’s summer in Australia, it feels amazingly rejuvenating. At first when you apply it, it feels slightly damp but within seconds it completely absorbs into the skin. My skin felt so nourished afterwards but it was not sticky in the slightest. It completely disappears right into the skin! I love that it is so lightweight but there is no residue left on the skin so I don’t need to worry about my skin feeling oily or greasy when I wake up, and I can easily apply makeup over the top.

NatureRepublicAloeVeraApplication

This product is perfect for EVERYONE regardless of your skin type and condition. It can be used on all areas of the body that require soothing and moisture. My brother has also been obsessed with this product and can’t stop using it! =) If you’re on the lookout for new Korean skincare products, this is definitely one to put on the top of your list. It’s a best seller for a reason!

It’s my favorite all-purpose skincare product! A little goes a long way if you just use it for the face. But I also use it for my body, and also on the ends of my hair when they’re a bit parched. Also, I like to rub it into my cuticles before I change polishes since I do my own nails anyway. ^^

The thing I like to do with it is stick the tub into the fridge a few hours before I use it. It feels sooooooo refreshing!

Aloe vera gel is the BEST in the summer. I’ll have to remember this the next time I get sunburned (which won’t be for a looooong time since summer in Seattle doesn’t really get started til July) 😉

Same price, $10 at Blush Cosmetics in Central Park 🙂 I searched the store for it and when I found it, it made me think of you (haha, not creepy at all!!) My partner thought I was going crazy. Then I stood in front of it and contemplated to get more than 1 tub but I told myself that I should try it out before getting excited. But I used it last night after my shower and feels amazing!! So soft and refreshing 😀 the best, you’re the best.

OK..so for real now..if you go inside Blush Cosmetics at Central Park (I was with my partner so I took less time browsing) but if you went on your own or girl friends then you might spend so much time browsing around!! There’s so many products that I touched and said, “ooooh what’s this?” or “I’ve heard about this” Lol. There’s so many products in there compared to the one at Haymarket. Too many facial masks to choose from, too many swatches to try out (but I didn’t get any as they were too light for me), you’ll be looking up then down again! Haha. Oh it’s just quite lovely in there. Oh there’s even women hygiene things there. 🙂 x

Woahhhh sounds amazing! I never go to that part of the city but I’m going to just to go to Blush LOLOL. So true though you wouldn’t want your partner to get bored HAHA. Was everything else affordable too? :O And yeah it’s hard to get good face products because everything is so so pale! Wow they really have everything. :O

That or everything is written in Korean! I’d turn the package around and look like an idiot because of course I can’t read anything. Product prices vary, some didn’t have prices and I couldn’t see any prices around them either. Oh, that reminds me, I saw a cuticle cream (smells fresh, creamy) and I was meant to buy but forgot about it! Haha too focused on NR aloe vera! There’s quite a few makeup products – 2 middle stations. There’s plenty eye makeup!

Aw yeah that’s true! I would’ve be able to understand anything LOL. Oh well I’ll just look at all the affordable stuff HAHA. Ohhh I own like no cuticle creams so I would wanna try that too! LOL I’m still so glad you managed to finally get your hands on it! 😀 Yay makeup, I always get excited to try new makeup! 😀
